I-V-V Chord Progression

In this free piano lesson we will be looking at the I-IV-V chord progression. This progression is one of the most common chord progressions out there.

This chord progression is used a lot in rock and is sometimes called three chord rock and roll.

This is a great progression that can be used to improvise with. Just put a simple left hand pattern to it, add a melody line, and you have music. Try it out a few times and hear it for your self.
