I-V Chord Progression

In this free piano lesson we will be looking at the I-V chord progression. This chord progression is seen often in popular music.

This chord progression is also known as an imperfect cadence because of the unresolved tension created by ending on the dominant (V) chord. Try it out a few times and hear it for yourself.
