Left Hand Pattern - Octave 5th Gospel Pattern

In this free online piano lesson we will be looking at an excellent pattern to add to gospel music or any old standard. I call it the octave 5th gospel pattern.

This is a great pattern to use for the left hand because it is easy to get a-hold of and adds some extra rhythm to whatever song you may be playing.

To play this pattern you just play an octave and alternate it with a fifth. It does not stand alone very well so it may sound boring at first but when it is added to a song it works out really well.
