Jermaine tells all in his 300 page Secrets to Playing the Piano by Ear book. He covers techniques, principles, and tips that will enable you to
play melodies, songs, and chords by ear. The first few lessons cover sight reading, basic rhythm, and scales. He then moves quickly into the
meatier stuff: major chords, inversions, progressions, modes, and minor scales. You have to realize though that this only covers 7 out of the 20
chapters.

Its really hard to put a value on a course like this. This book is loaded! It is jam packed with 300 pages of rock solid piano lesson materials.
There is plenty of step by step instructions, diagrams, worksheets, and a nifty little piece of software that will test your mind and ears.
There is alot to learn from this book. If you find yourself having a hard time explaining musical concepts or get lost when other musicians are
speaking music talk then this is a must have course. If you already know how to form scales and various types of chords such as major, minor,
diminished, and augmented chords including extended chords such as sevevths, ninths, elevenths, and thirteenths then this may not be the course
for you.

 Jermaine Griggs's resources have helped me tremendously. I have been playing keys since
1993, but didn't really understand the concept of theory, progressions, and all my keys until I heard of Hearandplay.com.
I purchased his thick course, the 300 pg workbook. I got through with it within 3 months. Since purchasing the book, I
am currently playing for three different churches. One church as the main director, and two as a
keyboardist. I don't really have a favorite key anymore.
